Texting VS. Talking

I'm wondering....when did it become more of a priority to text someone then to call them?! Once upon a time it was a letter....then the phone....email....cell phones....now texting.....it seems to be so impersonal yet it is something we have all become accustomed to and to get a phone call from someone now seems to be shocking!!!!!

We can now develop a full on relationship with a person via texting.....you can say things in a text you could never imagine speaking....the world of communication opportunity magnifies when you dont have to look someone in the eyes or hear there response. It can also destroy relationships....misreading a phrase, not being able to fully express what you really mean to say...in a way emotion is kind of stripped from the conversation......its almost like...talk radio? lol

Sexting.....Would you rather a- call someone up and whisper dirty words...or would you rather b- type it out in a short message? Im going to say the majority of society would answer b....for fear of embarasment..or rejection...or convinience...or to be discreet...or for the excitment of the awaited response....I was reading somewhere people debating whether sexting was a social trend or a technological trend....at the end of the article they summed it up that it was a technological trend, and that those types of trends fade quickly as people move on to the next latest fad...trying to convince parents of teens not to worry about their naughty teens haha and that the "trend" should fade soon LOL.......sorry parents of sexting teens.......I dont think the "trend" of sexting is ending anytime soon........

Bizting....haha business texting....has that termed been coined yet?.....Well I say keep business to the words of talking....for there can be so many unnecessary misunderstandings or misreads when it comes to texting that when it comes to business...save it for face to face...or the phone....

thats just my opinion....kinda fits in with the whole dont mix business with pleasure.....but i think thats a whole new blog....stay tuned.....

Oh another DANGER with texting.......Make sure you are sending the message to the right person! Can you imagine sending your dad a text "I just had the hottest sex with my dads married friend Bob" EEK u cant really take that back.....

and another DANGER.....Dont Text and Drive...today Jarred( Boy....from www.boyandgurl.com) told me that talking on ur phone while driving x2 ur risks of being in an accident...and texting...x4 ur risks of being in an accident...now Im all about taking Risks...But not risks that are proven to kill. so be careful if not for you, at least those around you...but id hope its for u ;)

Haha wow Im sure I could continue on with this random blog as per usual but its late and I meant to go to bed a long time ago.....but when i got to bed i could hear my computer calling my name to open it up and start typing away in the dark.I have a hard time saying No...even to myself...which could possibly explain why I ate an excess amount of realfruit gummies tonight lol.....so this is the conclusion of that.

Before signing off...I will state...that I am a fan of Texting...especially bbm...its holding me back from getting an iphone...lol buttt I love getting a call....just like I love getting a handwritten letter......which seems to happen way to rarely....hint hint....

where did a chicken wing come from??

I was out eating wings and drinking strongbow tonight.......and the topic of what the wing was before it was fried came up...and someone brought up that it was a baby chicken.....wing down appitite gone...good thing strongbow is fizzy and filling.....so anyways i get home and google where chicken wings come from...bleh....not a hot topic...and not sure when the next time I will be able to indulge in 20 cent wing night...... heres what I came across

to start it off PG.....

Chicken wings are also called Buffalo wings...as they were originated in Buffalo NY...Oct,30 1964 at the Anchor Bar....this creation of Hot Wings dipped in blue cheese with a side of celery was an instant hit...serving 70 000 pounds of chicken per month wooozaa!!

and im stopping at PG before I find out any further info on the creation of a chicken wing.....being nausous over dead animals is not something im interested in fueling!!

im sitting here trying to decide on what i should blog about....what do people care about...how can i be a form of entertainment for 2 min of their lives surfing the internet. and ive come up with well nothing...nothing besides the fact that my gel nails are slowly peeling away and look hideous...and that i had a mystery allergic reaction to something yesterday causing my lips to swell double their size i need a bubble....time for a vodka martini...i recomend you pour yourself a drink as well

Rejection is the Universe'S Protection

I read somewhere today on someones tweet that Rejection is Gods Protection, and then later tonight my cousin said to me that she heard this great quote today " Rejection is God's Protection" I always find it interesting when 2 people in completly different places in the world hear the same thing and are on typically the same page in life!....My believes lie in the universe, that there has to be a greater energy out there that has created everything we see and feel.

Sometimes when I am in situations that I shouldn't be in but yet let myself be driven my passion or lust instead of thinking with the smart and logical side of my brain, I find a greater force takes over somehow creating an obstacle steering me away from the situation. Its like we all have this greater force fighting our battles for us when we really need it to. Its not something we can depend on to save us, its just something that takes control without us even thinking about, when we least expect it. This could be to save us from future situations...to teach our subconscious a lesson to steer us away from future trouble. Try to be aware of when things like this happen, and try to learn from it for your future.

Another angle...so many of us fear rejection Ill be the first to admit I do...and i think you;d be lying and in extreme denial if you didnt fear it slightly. But they say that there is a reason for everything in this life and if we are denied an opportunity....or relationship...or job......its probably saving us from future trauma. so instead of fearing rejection....go for it...if you dont get it be grateful for a new opportunity to open up around the corner!!!!

Remembering Teagan Klein

I just heard some unexpected news this evening. Words can't even describe the reality of this tragic situation, but yet situations like this happen so often and you never think it will happen to anyone you know, let alone even imagine it could happen to you. ABUSE.TRAGEDY.DEATH.

Teagan Klein.

Prince of wales 1994 I made a friend, a friend that inspired me to do better, a friend that helped me grow into who I am today. Everyone we encounter in life helps shape our character and some have more of an effect than others to us, her friendship through the years of growing up was one of the friendships that taught me how to be a friend. Although many years have passed since we were close I still can remember being a kid and being Teagan's friend. I remember we were both were competitive gymnasts always making up routines on the front lawn, and making up games on the street with the neighbors. I remember sleepovers and sitting on the kitchen floor picking out all the red flavored gummy dinosours from a big costco box. I remember laughing so hard ..we were kids with abs. I remember her smile, I remember her passion for life, I remember being inspired by her. I remember others being inspired by her.

She moved back to red deer a few years later, and we kept in touch over the years, and would write mail, and visit (and each visit always felt like we saw each other the day before) but we both continued on with our own lives finishing school and let the busyness of life making our contact with each other fade, but yet I feel like if I saw her tomorrow we'd go back to being those 2 girls sitting on the front lawn eating popsicles and laughing.

I don't want to go into details of the horrific news, for I want to just take this time to remember her greatness, but It grieves me to say her life was taken from her and her son, family and friends in the most tragic of ways last year. My sister heard about the trial of the man being charged with first degree murder today and filled me in. It took some time before it actually hit me that it was real and to be reminded that there are horrible things that take place in this world we live in and not just in CSI and Law&Order. The fact that it took so long for me to be aware of this situation adds to the shock of it for me, and my heart deeply goes out to her family and friends I am so sorry to hear this news.

Situations like this unfortunately make us realize that we can't take things in our lives for granted, and that we should never focus on the negative things in life, for at the end of our road its not the negative things that people remember, its the laughter, experiences, love, and smiles that we all remember and it is those things that we should take a moment to focus on everyday. Say what you feel, work hard for your goals, share all your love and laughter, and just live ;) because you never know how you effect the people around you.

Teagan will be dearly missed everyday, I am grateful to have known her and so sorry to hear that she has been a victim of abuse, no one deserves to go through what she has gone through and it happens so often to innocent people when it shouldn't be happening at all.

TAKE A STAND AGAINST VIOLENCE AND HATE.
